Meteor Crater

Some 50,000 years ago, a meteorite (not a meteor) slammed into what is now Northern Arizona. This was part of God’s divine will to give us an awesome hole in the ground to look at.

And here it is!

If you climb up to the viewing station and turn away from the crater, you can see the rest of Arizona.

They also had a couple small exhibit areas, where one can see a piece of the meteorite, a lunar test capsule and a few other interesting things.

Read the quote in the lower left, and then what happened to the person who said that. This remind me of the old saying, “be careful what you wish for.” Making a deal with NASA is like a deal with Old Man Satan Points – “You want to go to the Moon?!? Then you’ll go there – in ASHES!! HA HA HA!!”

They also had a gift shop.
