When you’re in Venice, you feel like you’re in L.A. It’s got sandy beaches, fit people, skateboarders, beautiful homes, weirdos and extremely impolite drivers.
There is a long, well-peopled beach. All along the beach is a boardwalk with all sorts of hippy-type stores (like the toe ring stand featured below). And there is an outdoor workout facility for very fit people well worth ogling.
There’s a pretty cool skater park where you can see people strut there stuff. It’s a friendly vibe and I get the feeling that anyone with a skateboard who can hang can take a turn on the turf. Check out this mini-skater defying gravity:

Our one meal there was at a place called Hinano Cafe, which apparently has been shot in several TV shows. They have a pretty good burger and hot dog, very affordable and cash only. And for some kooky reason we were allowed to eat inside! What?!
We then took a stroll down Abbot Kinney, dubbed America’s coolest street, full of shops and restaurants. And, a few cool murals on the street or nearby.
Finally, we stopped at one damn fancy weed store. All manner of cannabis-infused tasty treats, jars of kind and paraphernalia aplenty.
