New Orleans is a unique place in the world. Here some things we enjoyed seeing and doing.
We took a tour in a flat-bottom boat of Jean Lafitte swamp and got to see some gators. There are fan boat tours all over the place which apparently allow you to go into shallower waters.
One extremely touristy thing to do in New Orleans is a graveyard tour. New Orleans, a bit more than most of humanity, is obsessed with death. The graveyards are quite unique as well, as a poorly planned one will result in corpses floating around town after a bad flood and you certainly can’t dig six feet deep without hitting the water table. Sometimes you even have to dig up.
