So, I finally took a vacation. Three weeks around that magical land of Alba, or “Scotland” to the layperson. I decided to finally give bikepacking a shot. Scotland is a pretty popular place for that, and far from the hardest of core – good roads, safe drivers, and never too far from a helpful Scot should you need it. And, the law allows freedom to roam – you’re allowed to camp anywhere, even private property, as long as it’s not fenced in. (Which most land turns out to be … hmmmm.)
As my time is finite, I had no qualms about getting my miles by boat or train to make sure I got to see what interested me most. Her is my route, with the routes (more or less) I biked or explored on foot marked in red.
