From distilleries to bards to beer gardens, New Orleans has plenty of booze to lubricate your entry into the city.
This time we’ll start with my favorite – Happy Raptor Distilling. They’ve got inventive and tasty cocktails, a fairly nice area to sit and drink them, and some of the best white rum I’ve had by the bottle.
There are lots of other quality distilleries in NOLA.

But wait – it’s not just liquor in New Orleans! They make beer there, too! Parleaux Beer Lab makes some tasty craft beers. I didn’t get a picture but they look like beer. I did get a picture of some very delicious prawns I got on there from their chef-of-the-night.

Unfortunately, most of the music in New Orleans was shutdown as COVID panic gripped the nation. But Bourbon Street was still a surprisingly popping place.

The club was jamming but had to shut down at 11, because COVID turns into a pumpkin at midnight.
