Hollywood! I knew I’d make it here someday. Mostly I walked around waiting to be discovered by someone who thought I had the perfect look to be the romantic ass-kicking lead in their new blockbuster. (With Dwayne Johnson as my plucky sidekick.)
I have the impression that Hollywood is to Angelenos what TImes Square is to tourists – a place for tourists where locals don’t go. (I guess unless you’re there to make a movie?)
It was fun to walk on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and look at the names of stars. “Hey I know that name! But I don’t know that name! But I do know that name! Hey we say that one already!” Some people are indeed on the Walk more than once, if they are famous for more than one of Walk categories – movies, TV, audio or music, broadcast radio and theater.
Grauman’s Chinese theater was, unfortunately, mostly closed off to visitors. But here’s what we could see. Yes! Those are handprints!
And here’s a few other sights, things to do and even a culinary highlight!
