Not TECHNICALLY part of the Dominican Republic, or even non-technically, my trip began here. I decided to take an extended three-day layover to see what’s going on here. I was working during the day, so only really got to go out and explore in the evenings.
Miami (surprise!) is loaded with authentic Latin restaurants. They serve food from various countries in the Caribbean, Central America and South America and it all looks like this:

I stayed in Little Havana, where I found a very well-known place for Cuban sandwiches, and found nothing wrong with them:



Miami is cool to walk around at night:



There was a nice mural park in a cool artsy district:
Some culinary delights were a Key Lime pie which was just as good as that not found in Miami, and a pretty good mango crepe:
Oh and downtown has big buildings, yay!
